Confusion2Her legs were aching by nightfall. Almost every part of her was in pain…her legs ached from walking all day, her head throbbed from thinking nonstop, her eyes were burning from crying, and her heart felt as if it were being squeezed…perhaps her heart’s ache was from crying as well. She was alone in the world now. That’s how she felt: utterly helpless, and completely alone. Alone in a forest that was much too quiet. She would gladly have traded all she owned to have even Jaken, and his continual bantering and scolding, with her. It was the silence of the forest around her that frightened her the most.Confusion2
